The goal is to maximize calories burned and 4 weeks will go by fast – so we will be working out 6 days – often twice a day! Remember that 1lb of fat is about 3500 calories – and that’s a lot to burn! Nutrition will also be very important, as being active is only half the equation to seeing results, so be sure to view the nutrition videos we've selected for you.

Monday: Run and stretch
Tuesday:  AM – bike or run  |  PM – power walk & strength
Wednesday: AM – power walk  |  PM – bike spinning intervals
Thursday:  AM - run & stretch | PM – power walk & strength
Friday:  Recovery day & relaxation yoga
Saturday: AM – run  |  PM – bike spinning
Sunday: Long bike ride & stretch

Program Prerequisites

You should have some experience with strength training and be injury-free to start. To stay injury-free, remember to warm up and cool down properly. This is a calorie counting program so you will need a heart rate monitor. Check out the ones in our store, or review the ones available on your gym's equipment.

In 2006 I graduated from the prestigious Simon Fraser University with a degree in Kinesiology. While there I ran Varsity Track and have competed all over North America for my University, Province, and Country. Running is one of my passions, and you will find numerous programs that I’ve created for you so that you can achieve your running destination – whether it be your 10th 5k or 1st marathon.

Living in Vancouver, British Columbia; I am fortunate to have it all in my backyard. I’ve taken advantage of the beautiful surroundings for my own training; whether it’s running on the seawall or biking to deep cove.. This year I will be competing in numerous running events, several triathlons, hiking the west coast trail in 1 day, hiking the Grand Canyon, skydiving, and mountain biking in Moab, Utah.
