This life is filled with so many exciting things to see and do. It is a balance of doing great things and reflecting upon the great things around us. It is up to each of us to make the most of our time in life by doing just this - leaving something positive for the future and appreciating those positives around you like the air you breath, the backyard you have, the family in your home and yourself.
We are given a body, mind and soul that can be used and abused. Putting your health as a priority will allow you to get the most out of your life. It is up to you and you are in the right place to make it happen…. It was time to experience new challenges and reach new heights so I moved from Halifax to Vancouver, Canada 4 years ago. Vancouver offered me the team environment at Innovative Fitness and a city with trains that I could photograph in my spare time.
For 4 years I have been training at Innovative Fitness achieving goals with like-minded individuals in the health and fitness Industry. When not training I can be found traveling, exploring the city by bike, watching trains roll or at home drawing, listening to music or making a marvelous meal. Growing up in Halifax I spent my youth traveling and being active in hockey, basketball, swimming, bmx biking, skateboarding and the schoolyard game wallball (or the redass variation).
My passion for competitive hockey and basketball took me to the gym where I began working out at age 15. Physical challenges through sport and fitness paved the way for a healthy lifestyle that I want others to also experience. In 2000 I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bsc in Kinesiology. University allowed me to develop a passion for the human body and physical fitness thus I began personalized training thereafter. I have been a personal coach since 2001, motivating, educating and assisting people to reach their potential.
Myself, the team and customer base at Innovative Fitness have participated in many amazing destinations. Personal favorites of mine are those that include travel such as Vancouver to Portland bike ride and the Honolulu marathon. Running has definitely been the most rewarding challenge for me over the past few years and I look towards 2008 with running and travel destinations such as Grand Canyon, Victoria 1/2 marathon and beating my time at the Honolulu marathon.
