Purdy’s pledge.

contest specifics:
•    90 day workout program based on 3 workouts / week on line.
•    90 days of on line support from Matt
•    $1000 cash to the winner.

you need
•    swiss ball
•    heart rate monitor
•    med ball (8lb)
•    exercise mat
•    tubing – med resistance
•    *you can get this on line at MPL or you may have this or you can get any of this stuff CHEAP at walmart etc (your call).
•    clear space to set up lap top or computer – this is 50 minutes / day where YOU have to yourself. no interference or distractions (kids, phones, etc).
•    1 piece of cardio – I recommend stationary bike or bike on a spinner

scoring.
•    20 points / sanctioned event. that’s right – an event in your community that you partake in – I don’t give a shit if you walk a 10k run. You send the link with your name as registered and you post a picture of you at the finish line with your race number. no picture – no link – no points.  (I will share why this is the biggest point getter later)
•    5 points / workout – I can track if you have watched the video when you are supposed to. (the schedule is based on working out 3 times / week)
•    5 points / food log – you send it to me via email every day. every single thing you eat and when – 7 days / week. not 2 on one day, not – missing 2 days and quitting for 7 days. I’ll review and pass on points gradually.
•    3 points / pound lost – simply, this is not the focus (although many of you think it is – it’s a by-product) or a habitual lifestyle change. you will start with a picture of you, your doctor –in their office – and a newspaper so we can see the date of your weigh in (believe it or not, some people try and cheat).
•    3 points / cm lost – arms, hips, waist, chest – again this happens at your doctors check in when you tell them what you are embarking on.
•    10 points / month for attitude. this is the only subjective score and basically, if you are whiney, give excuses etc – you don’t get points – if you are positive, etc etc – you get points.

getting started.
•    go to www.mypypeline.com & create your profile.
•    once in there, find myself and add me as a friend – also find the group Purdy’s pledge and request to join it. it’s invite only and private once everyone is in there. no one but you guys will be able to see / access / comment / etc on you for the duration of the contest.
•    get the aforementioned gear prior to aug 15th – get the doctors measurements and load in a before picture of yourself. front / side / back. in your photo’s. each month, we are going to update these photo’s.
•    you will rent the workout video’s in the intermediate section (from 1-36 over the 9 weeks). you can do this 1 by 1 just in case you decide not to continue and they are $3 / view. that’s $3 for your own trainer each time streamed right into your house. IF you want to purchase them to download (eg: put them on your video ipod – that’s $12 and you have them forever)

over the next two weeks, I’m going to send you coaching notes and updates. they will cover what / why / how of everything we do so you completely understand and start drinking the healthy lifestyle cool-aid.

I’m taking this seriously and spending my time to help you… help you. please respect that. if it becomes too much – and you need to bow out – no problem – do so, but don’t waste the groups time. If you want to bring someone else along with this group – do – it’s all about the accountability, they have to follow the same criterion.
