Afternoon ride

The alarm goes off and even though it’s the weekend, it’s time to get up.
A good breakfast and it’s out the door. It’s time to lead a spin class and sweat out any toxins that have built up over the past couple days.
Class was great. A solid turn out for such a beautiful day. Today we participated in a speed to power class which included a couple technical drills to help with pedal speed and core awareness.
A couple of the participants today mentioned that they felt they were a bit behind in their bike training and wanted to do a little more on their own time.
I mentioned that cross-training can be very helpful. How about taking out their mountain bike for an hour of hill intervals!
Later that day, I found myself putting on my mountain bike shoes and ipod for some urban pedalling!
Don’t forget, a hard hike or a mountain bike ride is a great cross-training idea.
