To get the most out of your MyPypeline viewing experience, please use the following browsers:
Downloading your videos gives you the ability to watch them on your computer, your video iPod or MP4 player, or your television as often as you want. Downloading, unlike streaming, will place a copy of the video's file on your hard drive and can offer a more stable viewing experience than streaming. You will be able to download workout videos you purchase up to two times.
To make sure you get the best experience with your video workouts from MyPypeline, you will need around 1.5GB of free space on your hard drive. Not sure how to check how much free space you have? Click here for help.
With a fast connection (DSL, Cable Modem or better) a one hour video workout (700K file) will typically take 45 minutes to one hour to download. This varies depending on your connection speed. We suggest setting your videos up to download in the evening or at times when your computer is otherwise idle.
In order to view downloaded videos on your computer, software such as Apple iTunes , Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or other software capable of playing MP4 formatted files is required.
If you're using a different version of Windows or Internet Explorer, the wording may be slightly different, but the same basic steps should work.
Click on the download link for the video you have purchased or file that you want to download.
You may be asked if you want to save the file or run it from its current location. If you are asked this question, select "Save." If not, don't worry -- depending on your browser's configuration it may automatically choose "Save" for you.
You will then be asked to select the folder where you want to save the program or file, using a standard "Save As" dialog box. Pay attention to which folder you select before clicking the "Save" button. It may help you to create a folder like "C:\Download" for all of your downloads, but you can use any folder you'd like.
Note: You may also see a check box labeled "Close this dialog box when download completes." If you see this check box, it helps to uncheck this box. You don't have to, but if you do, it will be easier to find the file after you download it.
The download will now begin. Depending on which file you're downloading and how fast your connection is, it may take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours to download. Your web browser will keep you updated on the progress of the download by showing a progress bar that fills up as you download. You will also be reminded where you're saving the file. The file will be saved as "nameofvideo.mp4" or "nameofyorfile.pdf", depending on what you are downloading.
When your download is finished, if you left the "Close this dialog box when download completes" option unchecked, you'll see a dialog box like this one:
Now click the "Open" button to run the file you just downloaded. If you don't see the "Download complete" dialog box, open the folder where you saved the file and double-click on the icon for the file there.
What happens next will depend on the type of file you downloaded. The files you'll download most often will end in one of two extensions. (An extension is the last few letters of the filename, after the period.) They are:
If you're using a different version of Firefox, the wording may be slightly different, but the same basic steps should work.
The Download Manager is a feature of Firefox that allows you to track and manage your past and current file downloads. It is a convenient way to escape the clutter of multiple downloading windows while still preserving access to download statistics.
The Download Manager will appear when you download files, when you select Tools > Downloads, and when you press CtrlCmd+JCtrlCmd+Y.
In addition to keeping information on all your downloads in one place, the Download Manager keeps convenient download actions easily accessible for each of your downloads.
Pause: You can pause any downloads currently in progress by clicking the Pause link beside the file entry. This may be useful, for example, if you need to open a small download started after a large download. Pausing downloads gives you the choice to decide which of your downloads are most important. When you want to continue downloading those files, simply use the Resume link to finish those downloads.
Cancel: If after starting a download you decide you no longer need that file, canceling the download is simple: just use the Cancel link beside that file entry to cancel it and free up your connection for your browsing and other downloads.
Open the File: When a download has finished, the Open link will appear by the file entry. Use it to open the file.
Remove the File's Entry: If you do not wish to store information on a particular download, removing the entry is as simple as the click of a mouse. Simply use the Remove link beside the file entry to delete it.
Retry a Download: If for any reason a download does not complete, it is easy to attempt the download again. To recover from a failed download and retry it, just use the Retry link next to the file entry and Firefox will restart the download for you.
Show Download Folder: If you have set Firefox to save all downloads to a folder in Download Manager OptionsPreferences, you can open this folder by clicking the Folder Name at the bottom of the Download Manager window.
Download Manager Options and Preferences: The options and preferences for the Download Manager are accessible by opening the Downloads section of the Main panel in the Options/Preferences window. They allow you to change several downloading options and preferences.
If you're using Safari on a Mac, follow these steps:
To stream workout videos you need Flash 9 Player or higher installed on your PC or Mac. Your computer must meet or accede the minimum system requirements.
Viewing our videos offers a near on-demand experience. There may be some minor buffering and then your video will play. Videos are currently offered in two streaming bit-rates: 300K and 700K (though some are 700K only). The bit-rate you select should be based on the type of Internet connection you have. The picture quality will greatly depend on the speed of your Internet connection and your video card. A streaming video will not take up any space on your computer's hard drive.
In order to view downloaded videos on your computer, a video player such as Apple iTunes or Quicktime is required.
In addition having a system that meets these requirements, you will need to download the purchased video to your computer. The video can then be played with software such as Apple iTunes , Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or other software capable of playing MP4 formatted files is required.
If you intend to play video on a mobile device, such as an iPod, that device must support the MP4 format for video playback. For information on how to upload MP4s to your mobile device, please refer to the manufacturer's documentation.
It is possible to burn videos to a DVD and play them on MP4 compatible DVD players. In order to do this, you must have a working DVD burner in your computer, and compatible burnable DVDs. Please refer to the manufacturer's documentation for further information.
It is possible to play videos using your video iPod or similar device and your television, although this may require additional equipment. In addition, it may be necessary to to change settings on your iPod and television, for which we recommend consulting the manufacturer's manuals.
If you are having problems playing video workouts using your video iPod on your TV, you may have the wrong audio video (AV) cables. Please note that there are 3 different sets of cables available from Apple, all which fit every iPod, but do not work with every iPod.
The Apple Composite AV Cable will work with the following iPods:

The Apple Component AV Cable will work with the following iPods:

The Apple iPod AV Cable only works with the following iPods, in spite of the packaging which states that is works with all color iPods:

Please note that the iPod with color display is not a video iPod, and will not work with videos.
There is more information regarding each of the iPod models' setup instructions available on Apple's website.
