How do I create a group?
Go to the "My Account" section of your pype. Select the "My Friends & Groups" subsection and then click on "Start a Group" to create a group that is either public or private. You can make your group invitation-only if you want, and can choose whether or not you'd like members to be able to invite others to join. You can also upload a gif or jpeg image to represent your group, and can create a description for your group.
How do I set my group(s) to private?
- Go to the "My Account" section of your pype
- Select "My Friends & Groups", and then "My Groups"
- Select the group you wish to change from your list
- Under "Options" in the main content area, select "Edit Group," which will take you to the "Edit Group" screen
At the top of the screen, under the heading "Group Basics," you can edit the privacy options for your group, including:
- If set to no, this group will not be shown when members search for groups to join
- If set to no, this group will not generate any alerts.
- If set to yes, you can only join this group by being invited by someone else.
- If set to no, then only group moderators may invite new members to join.
How do I delete a group?
- Go to the "My Account" section of your pype
- Select "My Friends & Groups", and then "My Groups"
- Select the group you wish to change from your list
- Under "Options" in the main content area, select "Delete this Group"
Please note that deleting a group is irreversible.
How do I change my group moderator?
In order to change moderators in your group, you must already be a moderator. When you are within your group page, under the "Group Moderators" section, click "Add". This will take you to a page that lists all of the members of your group. You can then select or deselect moderators from the members list. Click "Save and Continue" to save your changes.
How can I build my community with groups?
Groups allow you to stay connected to members by managing their workouts, scheduling their training programs, and posting on each other's walls. Your group will also raise your profile within the MyPypeline community.
How do I join a group?
Go to the "My Account" section of your pype. Select the My Friends and Groups section and click on "Find a Group". Use the search box to search for subjects you are interested in, such as "10K runs" or "golf" to find groups that match your interests. If the group in which you are interested is a public group, click "Join this Group" under the options bar.
You can also join groups by accepting invitation notifications sent to your pype by others.
